NFL Week 11 picks

Last week: 7-7
Last night: 1-0
Season record: 97-52

Is it Sunday yet?  Luckily for me the Giants play Green Bay in the late afternoon game which means I get RZB for three hours--Red Zone Bliss.  On to the picks.....

Cleveland at Cincinnati--Have there been two teams harder to figure out from week to week?  Let's face it, the Bengals are probably going to the playoffs, the Browns probably are not (well, they still might).  But I think this is the time the Bengals have to start pulling away from the pack if they're gonna win the division.  Bengals 20, Browns 10

Oakland at Houston--I know that records don't lie, the Houston is not a 2-7 team.  And the Raiders are more like a 1-8 team than 3-6.  Or something.  I'm not sure if I made my point, but I just like the Texans here.  Texans 28, Raiders 20

Arizona at Jacksonville--Can the Jags really win two in a row?  I just don't see it.  Cards 19, Jags 16

Washington at Philadelphia--On the one hand, the Eagles of Nick Foles and Riley Cooper are surging.  On the other, they are 0-4 at home and haven't one at the Linc since September 2012.  Sometimes I just don't get the NFL.  Eagles 34, Redskins 31

Baltimore at Chicago--In a year of weird parity, these two teams are about as average as average gets.  But I guess I can't predict a tie.  Can I?  Ravens 26, Bears 23

NY Jets at Buffalo--Common wisdom would say pick the Jets.  Common wisdom says the Bills are always tough at home no matter who the opponent.  Common wisdom says flip a freaking coin.  Bills 21, Jets 20

Detroit at Pittsburgh--This Lions team smells the division title and while they did make the playoffs two years ago, a division crown would validate them as a true contender.  But not if they lose to the 3-7 Steelers.  Lions 24, Steelers 21

Atlanta at Tampa Bay--As bad as the Falcons have looked this year, and they are 0-4 on the road....the Bucs are just a crap sandwich who finally won a game last week.  But if they want that #1 pick, they'd better get back to crap sandwich.  Falcons 20, Bucs 14

San Diego at Miami--Two more hopelessly average teams, but ya know, when your team is rocked by scandal, it's hard to recover.  Chargers 23, Dolphins 17

San Francisco at New Orleans--A beauty, but believe it or not there is an even more compelling game than this one later in the day.  Saints 38, Niners 35

Minnesota at Seattle--This is the more compelling game I was referring to.  Ha!  Just kidding.  Seahawks 31, Vikings 10

Green Bay at NY Giants--This is not the piece of cake you would think for the Giants what with Scott Tolzien coming into the Meadowlands, because the Giants have a tendency to let third stringers beat them or at least make life difficult.  That being said, the Giants D is playing great and the Packers' D is not.  Giants 27,  Packers 24

Kansas City at Denver--Here it is, the game of the season so far--undefeated KC (9-0) traveling to division rival Denver to play Peyton Manning's 8-1 Broncos, the first meeting between the teams this season.  So the Broncos average 42 points a game and the Chiefs give up 12 points per game.  All signs point to a nail-biter so hopefully it lives up to the billing.  Broncos 20, Chiefs 16

New England at Carolina--Ten years after their Super Bowl, could their be a rematch brewing?  After the Panthers beat the Niners in Candlestick last week, there is a distinct buzz around the team.  Super Bowl aspirations could be slightly premature, but maybe not in this weird season.  Panthers 17, Patriots 13
