NFL Week 5 picks

Last week: 12-3
Last night: 1-0
Season record: 46-18

Jacksonville at St. Louis--You know, part of me wonders if Sam Bradford will ever be all that he was cracked up to be.  Of course, the Jags are coming to town so he may look better than usual Sunday.  Rams 23, Jaguars 16

Kansas City at Tennessee--One of the unexpected great games this week, the 4-0 Chiefs traveling to 3-1 Tennessee.  Shhhh, don't tell Andy Reid about the barbecue in Nashville.  Titans 20, Chiefs 17

Philadelphia at NY Giants--One of the fringe benefits of being a fan of an 0-4 Giants team?  We may possibly go the entire season without having to endure Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.  That in itself is a victory.  Eagles 34, Giants 14

Baltimore at Miami--Are the Dolphins really for real or did the Saints game expose them?  Are the Ravens really as bad as they have appeared?  This game will answer both, but the Ravens are 0-2 on the road, so.....Dolphins 19, Ravens 16

Seattle at Indianapolis--Boy, this is a tough one.  Seattle is 4-0 with points for/against at 109/47.  Indy is 3-1 with PF/PA of 105/51, allowing just 10 points in the last two weeks.  Hey, this might be a good game!  Seahawks 28, Colts 20

Detroit at Green Bay--I know the Lions don't suck as much as they have before, but it's Lambeau and you can throw the standings out the window.  Packers 38, Lions 31

New England at Cincinnati--If the Pats can beat the Falcons in Atlanta, they do have a shot to be 5-0.  But somehow I just don't think so.  Bengals 24, Patriots 23

New Orleans at Chicago--Damn, this is another good one.  I'm seriously thinking Red Zone instead of watching the Giants get blown out again.  Saints 32, Bears 30

Carolina at Arizona--There are a few teams I have zero interest in watching.  The Cards are one, and the Panthers are in the grouping after that.  And I still don't get why they can't give us less early games and more late games.  But whatever!  Cardinals 20, Panthers 16

Denver at Dallas--I'd say Dallas has a shot at an upset, but I mean, the Broncos are averaging 45 points a game.  That's insane.  Broncos 37, Cowboys 30

Houston at San Francisco--Two underachieving teams square off to see who is a bigger (or is it smaller?) underachiever.  Niners 24, Texans 21

San Diego at Oakland--You read that correctly, folks--a second Sunday night game, beginning at 11:35pm ET.  You west coasters will find out what it's like to finish watching a game after midnight like east coasters do every Sunday and Monday night.  And you hard core east coasters will see what it's like to finish watching a game after 3am.  Sweet.  Chargers 27, Raiders 21

NY Jets at Atlanta--The Jets are not as good as 2-2 and the Falcons are not as bad as 1-3.  If you do the math.....Falcons 27, Jets 10
